President: Derek Hopkins

Honorable Derek K. Hopkins is the creator of this collaborative and has spent the last 5 years serving as the Harford County Register of Wills. Prior to being elected he was a full time auctioneer,appraiser, 5th generation Harford County Farmer, and a third generation real estate agent, who has focused on estate services, Hopkins is a graduate of the Missouri Auction School, Kansas City, MO.He also is a graduate of the three-year Certified Auctioneer Institute at Indiana University,Bloomington, IN. He is a member of Harford County's Agricultural Advisory Board and is for preserving the agricultural industry and way of life.

Treasurer: Benny Walker

Benny Walker, Principal at Weyrich, Cronin & Sorra Chartered has over 29 years of public accounting experience. Benny joined the firm in 1998 following a five-year absence from public accounting to work in industry. He holds a Bachelor of Business Administration from Stetson University and Masters of Business Administration from Loyola College. Benny is currently treasurer of the Albert P. Close Foundation, is on the board of the Community Foundation of Harford County, is treasurer of Calvary Baptist Church, and was appointed by the County Executive to the Harford County Economic Development Advisory Board. He is also a member of the Bel Air Rotary, the Harford County BB&T Advisory Board, the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, the Maryland Association of Certified Public Accountants, and the National Association of Certified Valuation Analysts.

Secretary: Eric McLauchlin

Eric E. McLauchlin has been practicing law in Harford County since 1995 and is a founding partner of Shaffer, McLauchlin & Stover, LLC in Bel Air.  He graduated summa cum laude from Salisbury University and is an honors graduate of the University Of Maryland School Of Law.  Eric served as a Judicial Law Clerk to the Honorable Stephen M. Waldron in the Circuit Court for Harford County for one year prior to beginning a career assisting clients in business matters, business development, contracts and agreements related to the protection, use and transfer of intellectual property.  Eric routinely assists with governmental relations between his clients, Harford County and its municipalities, particularly where economic development efforts and doing business with Aberdeen Proving Ground are concerned.


Eric also dedicates considerable time to civic, charitable and community activities.  Eric is a member of the Board of Directors of Arrow Child and Family Ministries, a national organization dedicated to helping abused and neglected children and strengthening families in crisis.  He currently serves as a Director on the Board of the Harford Community College Foundation and is an Honorary Director for the Harford County Public Library Foundation.  He is a former member and President of the Salisbury University Alumni Board.  He previously served on the Board of The Senator Bob Hooper Hospice House and has supported his daughters’ dancing aspirations by serving on the Board of the Harford Ballet Company.  He has also served as a Director on the Board of the Harford County Sheriff’s Foundation.  He is the former Chairperson of the Harford County Family Branch Board of the YMCA and was its 2003 volunteer of the year. 

Trustee: Linda Comer

n 1982 Susie joined her father, Marvin, as Vice President of J. M. Comer Construction, Inc. In 1998 Susie and her two sisters purchased the assets of J. M. Comer and started Comer Construction, Inc. Susie serves as President/Treasurer and Director of the estimating and project management divisions. Susie's vast knowledge of the construction industry and her community involvement has been a contributing factor to the overwhelming success of the company.

Trustee: Carol Frontera

Carol Frontera is the Marketing Coordinator for Weyrich, Cronin & Sorra, Chartered - CPAs and Business Consultants. She has been with the firm since March 2001. Carol is the current President of the Albert P. Close Foundation, Inc., an organization that raises and distributes funds to programs that support at-risk youth in Harford County. She is also on the board of the Mason Dixon Business Association and the HOPE for Harford Workgroup. In her free time she enjoys camping and hiking with her husband and children, cooking and gardening.

Trustee: Sandi Gallion

Sandra (Sandi) M. Gallion, 51, lives in Churchville, Maryland and is the wife of Nolan Gallion, Jr.  She is the mother of three grown children, Michelle Gallion Williamson, Nolan W. Gallion, III and Stephanie M. Gallion.  She is the office manager of Union Medical Clinic in Havre de Grace, Maryland where she has been employed for the last 30 years.  She has been a member of Level Volunteer Fire Company for the last 35 years and is currently the Vice-President of the Fire Company and an Emergency Medical Technican.  She serves as Chaplain for the Ladies Auxiliary to the Harford County Volunteer Fire and EMS Association.  She is currently serving on the Harford County Sheriff's office HOPE for Harford committee.  She is an active member and past Elder of Churchville Presbyterian Church and serves as secretary of the Churchville Presbyterian Church Daycare Board.  Sandi lost her son, Nolan W. Gallion, III, to a heroin overdose in January 2015 and has been working hard to educate the public on the risk of drug abuse.

Trustee: Tom Yingling

Tom is Lead Shepherd of our family support group, which is a monthly meeting to help families understand what their loved one is going thru and how to help the family heal as well.. He also devotes considerable time to making a difference thru the Matthew Yingling Foundation and wherever he can for charitable organizations, as well he volunteers at Char Hope helping teach gardening to the residents.

Trustee: Lauren Raio

Lauren Bachman Raio, MA is a partner in I.T.L. Systems, LLC and Vice President of Trinity Transition Consultants, LLC.  She has a Master of Arts Degree in Conflict Transformation from Eastern Mennonite University, with a concentration in Restorative Justice.  She grew up on a farm in Harford County, MD, and continues to help her family on the farm, where they raise Belted Galloway cattle.  


Lauren is a trained mediator and facilitator, who focuses her skills to help organizations and individuals address issues such as; effective communication, conflict resolution, inclusion and diversity learning experiences, and building healthy organizations.  Lauren is dedicated to creating environments conducive to creative thinking, effective communication, team building, and the development of healthy organizations.

Trustee: Mindy Schneider

Mindy Schneider is a 2015 graduate of Delaware Valley University with a Bachelor of Science in Animal Science. She is fiercely passionate about agriculture and has dedicated 15 years to this honest pursuit as a hobby as well as a profession. She resides in Delta, PA and has two horses of her own that she enjoys training and riding. Mindy is currently the Marketing Coordinator for Visit Harford - Harford County, Maryland’s Tourism Promotion Organization.  


Mindy lost a close friend to heroin addiction in August 2016. This propelled her into a deeper understanding and fueled her desire to advocate as well as contribute her time and energy to organizations such as Matthew Yingling Foundation and Char Hope Foundation. She strongly believes in the healing power of horses and that community and connection are central to recovery.

Trustee: Bob Mumby

Bob is a business consultant with 37 years of experience advising organizations on managerial, operational and financial issues. Prior to establishing his consulting practice, Bob was Executive Director and Global Head of Sales and Account Management for JP Morgan’s Broker Dealer Services Division. He is a principal of Slate Ridge Entertainment, LLC which promotes and produces concerts that bring national musical acts to Harford County. Bob is also the co-host of the Harford Edge, a weekly local affairs radio and internet show, sponsored by the Harford County Public Library. He also devotes considerable time to making a difference wherever he can for civic, charitable and community services, as a volunteer and advisor.
